For a standard 10ft x 12ft room with 10ft height and 9-inch thick walls, you need approximately 2,940 bricks (including 5% wastage). For 4-inch thick walls, you need about 1,470 bricks. The exact number depends on wall thickness, door and window openings, and mortar joint thickness.

For plastering 1000 sqft at 12mm thickness, you need approximately 174 cubic feet (cft) of sand and 18 bags of cement (50 kg each). This is for a single coat of plastering. Interior walls may need a finer finish requiring additional materials.

To calculate paint, measure all wall areas (length x height for each wall) and subtract window and door areas. Interior paint covers about 120 sqft per litre for 2 coats, while exterior paint covers about 80 sqft per litre. A standard 10x12ft room with 10ft walls needs approximately 28 litres of interior paint.

For 200 sqft with standard 24" x 24" tiles, you need approximately 55 tiles (including 10% wastage for cutting). For 12" x 12" tiles, you would need about 220 tiles. Always buy 10% extra to account for cuts, breakage, and future replacements.
